Janet Blomberg is involved with the care and education of Third Culture Kids (TCKs) and has been for almost twenty years. Janet is an effective advocate on behalf of TCKs, parents, and educators regarding their needs, transitions, and well-being due to having lived in the Middle East and several areas in Asia.
Janet served at an international school in Asia, has worked with others to create organizations which provide educational support to families, and has served as interim director of an educational support organization in Asia. She has also consulted with schools and other organizations on a variety of care, educational and policy issues and on the educational needs of non-North American families. In addition, she has developed a training program for parents who have limited overseas educational options for their children.
Janet has authored many articles on TCK care and education, co-edited the book Fitted Pieces, and founded (and continues to edit) Interact Magazine. She continues to speak at conferences around the world to parents, educators, caregivers, and others on various TCK care and cross-cultural education.
